According to Indeed the highest paying remote jobs that are currently advertised in Switzerland include mainly positions in financial organisations.

Some roles that are interesting and high profile include:

  • assessing political finance regulations for the Transparency International Secretariat (an organisation that fights corruption) paying $450 per day;
  • Project Manager for Landis+Gyr, an energy company, paying between $81,000 and $126,000 per year;
  • Service Account Manager for SIG Group (a company that produces packaging) paying between $120,000 and $130,000 per year;
  • Regulatory Affairs Director for Fresenius Kabi (a company specialising in biosimilar development) paying between $185,000 and $200,000 per year;
  • Business Development Director for Eclerx (a business automation company) paying between $150,000 and $170,000 per year;
  • Controls Instructor for FieldCore (part of a global energy company) paying between $82,000 and $136,000 per year;
  • Medical Business Operations Manager for Sumitomo Pharma America (a pharmaceutical company) paying between $123,000 and $154,000 per year;
  • Executive Communications Lead for Wikimedia Foundation paying between $110,000 and $170,000 per year.

It is also worth noting that the Wikimedia Foundation is in itself a remote-first organisation with freelance collaborators and members of staff living in more than 40 different countries.

Most of these roles also include additional benefits such as health insurance and dental cover, paid holidays and paid training.

Most in Demand Remote Jobs in Switzerland

Some of the remote roles that recruiters want to fill include jobs in the IT sector, mostly in software engineering.

On average software engineering jobs are paid around 122,000 Swiss Francs per year, which are the equivalent of 130,000 euro or $150,000 per year. However, top salaries for these positions can reach 168,000 Swiss francs or 180,000 euro per year.

About 62% of the population speaks German as a first language, then about 23% speak French, about 8% speak Italian and only 0.5% of the population speaks Romansh. Romansh is a language that derives from Latin.

International residents also speak Spanish, Croatian, Albanian, Portuguese and Serbian.
